I second the other review that said the director and camera man hate daylight and tube light. What is the point of making every scene dark, making it hard to see people? Even people playing outside, a party, an office, everything is shot in twilight mode. And what is with people not smiling? Can't someone be competent and conduct a serious investigation if they happen to smile once in a while? This is really pretentious that every scene is deliberately made dark and dull as if shooting in good light will somehow make it descend from the lofty standards the director wants.
The actors are great, story is fresh, I just am put off by the pretentious camera work and direction. Look at family man to see how a serious investigation can be portrayed without re-creating old award movie style frames.
