Went in with low expectations, surprised me immensely

Warning: Spoilers
Seeing the low score on the IMDB, i was expecting something really lackluster but i was surprised. I went in to watch since i really like dungeon DND settings, which is pretty much this show. The art and animation although a bit inconsistent, were very well done. Especially some fight scenes had top tier animation. The world and the monsters, are really interesting and actually feel like real life since their biology is also explained. Its really smart how cooking is integrated into the show, its done so creatively that its hard to explain.

Taking advantage of the monsters biology while raiding a dungeon wasnt something i've seen before and its pretty unique/creative. The characters aren't badly written as well, although could be better. I wont give any major spoilers but here's the main plot: The party's main mage gets eaten by a dragon. They escape to the surface with a spell. The party goes back in the dungeon to save their mage without any food or money, so they have to survive by scavenging the monsters around them and cooking them. So far everything is brilliantly executed, except for the fact that they werent in a rush at all during the whole plot. You'd expect them to be in some sort of a hurry to save their mage before she gets ingested by the dragon but no, they fool around and waste time as much as they can. Which doesnt make any sense, since the mage is also the main characters sister. Its almost like they dont care at all. It shows that the plot convienently revolves around them, and they'll still make it to the dragon which really takes off the tension it could potentially have. This issue aside its great. So far only 10 episodes have been released and i've enjoyed all episodes, i'd recommend everyone to watch as an enjoyable pastime show. Even though it has some issues, its still very enjoyable to watch, i'd give it a 8.7/10.
