Smart, detailed and contrasted

I'd recommend it if any of it seems good.

The show takes its viewer on a culinary adventure on which interesting and novel fantasy ideas seemingly just pop-up on a constant basis. This wouldn't be possible if it weren't for the insane amount of detail poured into every aspect of this labor of love. All it asks of you in return is to accept its premise as a show that takes the cooking as seriously as everything else you're typically used to a show focusing its time on.

Having done some cooking before will enhance the feel of the show as it feels much like the real thing in the show. And if you enjoy the details of adventure-fiction (especially in roleplaying adventure games), this will hit that same spot on some level due to the aforementioned sweet and novel ideas.

PS. I'd be remiss not to mention the warmth at the core of this show, it is contrasted beautifully with the dark and cold elements that are quickly introduced and slowly expanded upon as the series unravels.
