In Marocco, the mercenary Andy (Charlize Theron) returns to her team formed by Booker (Matthias Schoenaerts), Joe (Marwan Kenzari) and Nick (Luca Marinelli) after one year absent. She has a meeting with CIA operative Copley (Chiwetel Ejiofor), who hires Andy and her group to secretly rescue children that have been kidnapped and are hidden in South Sudan. When they arrive at the location, it is a trap and Andy and her team are ambushed by armed men that shoot them. However, they are immortals and revive, killing the other group. Copley films the shooting and immediately flees in a van with his accomplice Keane (Joey Ansah) to London. Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, the marine corporal Nile (KiKi Layne) has a throat sliced by a terrorist and dies. However, she surprisingly revives without any scar in the throat. Andy and the group dreams on Nile and vice versa. Andy travels to Afghanistan and abducts Nile, explaining that they are immortals and must stay together. In London. Copley delivers the footage to the owner of the Merrick Industries, Merrick (Harry Melling), exposing their abilities. Merrick asks his personal army to abduct the immortals to use them as guinea pig to find the means to cure mankind from diseases and becomes richer.

"The Old Guard" is a surprisingly good action movie by Netflix, with a good screenplay of an immortal group of warriors that fight for the good of mankind. Two villains have good intentions, but the greatest one is the ambitious Merrick. The good thing is that in the end, all of them are punished accordingly with their crimes of treason, and cruelty and limitless ambition. Looking forward to seeing the sequel. My vote is seven.
