Apparently this show was made for Disney+ before ending up on the Roku Channel app for free.
This was a fun show worth watching for kids and adults. It reminded me of a mixture of the Fantastic Beasts movies and the Locke & Key TV series/books.
I loved seeing Christain Slater and thought he was a fantastic villain for this kind of show. The rest of the cast was good too and I didn't find myself hating any of the characters for being too dumb or annoying.
I typically only watch shows that have a minimum IMDB rating of 7 stars. For me, 7 stars is the threshold for a good show and Spiderwick Chronicles was lighthearted fun that I enjoyed.
