Izumi Ashikawa plays heroine Keiko, an elegant, protected daughter who resides with her father in an old, western mansion without having any contact with society. Yujiro Ishihara plays a youth with good intentions who gradually emancipates her from a stubborn, old-fashioned family. Based on a novel by Yojiro Ishizaka, who was an authority on romantic youth literature.
