There is one good situation in this picture and it gave the three juvenile players a fine chance to show good acting, but it was wholly missed by them all. The photography is a good way from Vitagraph excellence, in a few scenes the cameraman has got some swans perfectly and left the human figures in these scenes out of focus. We have seen few Vitagraph offerings so poor, all around, as is this. It was written and produced by Ralph Ince. - The Moving Picture World, December 20, 1913
