This story is well named, and though a civilized Indian, he demonstrates in the final gruesome scene that the primitiveness of his forefathers dominates his nature. Through the treachery of the white man he has befriended he seems justified in his vengeance. This is not a very pleasant picture to view, however it has been well done and contains many beautiful scenes. - The Moving Picture World, October 24, 1914
