One of the funniest Swedish movies from the 1950ies!

When seeing this movie, you might really get a new view of how old movies can be really really great. This one has loads of slap-stick sense of humor and is very verbal, but if you can understand Swedish and you have heard a few Povel Ramel songs you will easily get at least 10 laughs when seeing this movie. So don't underestimate this one. I for once had a very rare happy noon seeing this movie with my dad! The other good thing with this movie is that the pace is really not that slow, that is common in other Swedish movies from this time. This movie has stood its time and really works. You forget about the black and white real fast. The only negative is that they didn't have the solution for showing Povel Ramel twice in the same scene, because he plays twins in this movie.

Another fun classic

Warning: Spoilers
Stig Olin is a great director, whether it comes to more serious, indepth dramas - of just fun, wacky and catchy comedies such as this.

It is indeed another fun performance to add to the filmography of the great Alice Babs, filled with her usual splendor and good singing - as well as famous Swedish singer Povel Ramel in one of the lead roles, and he indeed does a good job, conveying both the rapidness and humour of his role, and also his ever impressive singing, of course.

Overall, of course not a masterpiece by any means, but indeed a very fun time, which provides some great and iconic, very witty and funny writing for any lover of music and film. Filled with the culture elite of old Sweden!
