Fine photographed and peculiarly sentimental

Not remembering it fully, the (b/w ?) movie is touching the heart by its intense calm photography as well as by its good actors. Telling of a young adult girl with cancer diagnosis and kind of tormenting itching skin problems derived from cancer cure, who nearly despairs of both diseases, and the miraculous vanishing of them, when finally she reaches the fulfillment of love to a nice guy, and pregnancy, the story is once commented "sentimentally" and skin-deep; which in fact might be true, but it gives a very nice view on Swedish (Norwegian?) society in the 60s and, especially through the splendid acting, displays compassionately the inner proceedings of love, death threat, the vulnerable individuality & loneliness among a busy world. The (possibly discussible) conclusion of it all, morally, is that love heals (or can heal) as a heavenly force. - The dialogues may be "profane", but the camera, actor guiding, etc., is quite exciting, and again, there are many inspiring views in the (often closing-up) photography, and the play given by the actors is also quite convincing.

An extraordinary film. A pity that nowhere to be found nowadays.

This is a heart-warming movie. Despite of simple means (black&white, mono sound) it keeps the viewer increasingly emotionally involved with the lasting impact of the presented fact-based story. A pity that nowadays this movie is unavailable for viewing.
