Fun and Nostalgic

Once in a blue moon I like to rent some old vintage erotica, and I ended up with this one after reading the box cover which described it as the "world's mightiest adult film". Anything that billed itself like that just had to be good. And it was pretty entertaining, with such staples of early porn as Rene Bond, John Holmes, Sandy Dempsey, and the massively endowed Uschi Digart, who unfortunately has little to do in this movie except to sit and have her (did I say massive?) breasts massaged. There's all kinds of weird scenes, which at the time must have been pretty novel, like the couple making love while an orchestra plays around them, or the hilarious blue-screen enhanced roller coaster "ride". It's all softcore, which means most of the action is left to your imagination, but some explicit female nudity is thrown in to edge it past what would today be considered hard "R". The pseudo-documentary at the beginning with the host taking us on a tour of the history of erotic film is interesting, and the voices droning that Egyptian/Arabic melody during the belly dance (you'll recognize it if you hear it) had me practically on the floor laughing. All in all, good fun and while I wished that some of the scenes had been a little more explicit it made me smile at certain points so I can't be too hard on it.

World's greatest first porn movie

I was visiting a friend in the college town of Kearney, Nebraska, in the mid-70s when this film played at the downtown movie theater, which apparently was going through that phase of playing anything that might bring in a buck as an alternative to closing. I'd never seen a porn flick before. Only typical R movies. My friend and his roommate suggested going, so we went.

It blew me away and put me on my long path of degradation. In fact, I can't say anything I've seen since has been as fun. Sexier, sure. More explicit, definitely. But this was sheer fun. Of course, I couldn't admit to my friend that it was not only fun but a turn-on. We were too cool for that, and too Midwestern.

Most porn tediously shows people supposedly having sex. Everybody involved in Panorama Blue seemed to be having grand fun as well as fun sex--except that guy groping the bit-titted actress without ever getting past second-base.

I've looked for a copy of this movie since discovering porn video, but I've never even seen it listed. Alas.

Great movie for it's type

I agree with the other reviewer. I went to ser it with a friend in Little Rock, 1974. We knew it was a skin flick, but what a flick! It was erotic but unlike today's X rated, it had a bit of a plot and a bit of class. There was no "raunch" to it. This was a fun, stimulating sec movie and it puts most movies of this tupe to shame. I didn't go see it by mistake, but we intentionally drove forty minutes to sneak in as seventeen year old. I never thought pirn would be availabe in the palm of my hand, but this movie was different. So different, I can remember it 48 years later. I have forgotten the name of every porn I snuck in to as a teenager, except for this one. I would put it on top of lhe list for the genre and time period!
