Jean-Baptiste Rossi is none other than Sebastien Japrisot (it's an anagram) who wrote such thrillers as "L'Ete Meurtrier" or "La Dame Dans L'Auto Avec des Lunettes et un Fusil " .
The critics were very hard on "les mal partis" when it was theatrically released.Based on a autobiographic novel,it is ,at least to my eyes, more palatable than the aforementioned thrillers.Denis is a young bourgeois ,in a junior high school where a supervisor (Gargantua!)gives the students a rough time.Denis needs something new.He falls in love with Clotilde. But she is a nun.She realizes it's a forbidden love. But passion grows stronger...and the society is not prepared to accept it.
