Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Moderate violence and gore during one shot in the first 10 minutes (there is some blood shown). In the last 15 minutes of the film, when the shooter finally opens fire on the stadium, there are many acts of violence and much gore. Body and head shots from a high-powered rifle with some of the most accurate results put on film.
  • Some bloody killings when the sniper opens fire on the stadium towards the end. Some effects are quite explicit for the standards of when the film was released in 1976, but very tame by today's standards. All bullet hits are from a high-powered rifle, simulated by large blood pack explosive charges being set off on the victims. Multiple head shots are depicted, but none showing any sort of graphic detail, but nevertheless, very bloody.
