I became curious of this series because of Rogério Ceitil, the creator of Duarte e Companhia. One day in Rtp memória, surprise: it aired. The series is awesome, its a low budget 70's 80's police show with great style. Low budget 80's powers as someone called. Orlando Costa made such a strong performance as Zé Gato, the smart mouth police. He is the hero with attitude, a true Portuguese hero. Luis Lello unfortunately deceased, was a true and convinceble street wise guy Matriculas. What a charisma! A really Portuguese wise guy and slick. António Assunção unfortunately deceased also, was a great Chefe, he is the boss of Zé, they have a relationship of friendship and desagreement. Canto e Castro was Mestre, Zé's mentor. The cast couldn't be more better choosed. Rogério Ceitil made magic with all that he had. Some effects have flaws like the sound fx, and the figthing scenes, but in the late 70's and with a low budget, in Portugal, making better was impossible at the time. The story's were well written, good dialogues, and good filming. The soundtrack is also excellent, by Jorge Palma and the Brito brothers. Its a classic. Rogério Ceitil is indeed a genius.
