Kylie Minogue has announced her first residency in Las Vegas.
The Voltaire nightclub at The Venetian in Las Vegas is the setting for Minogue’s shows, and fans will likely flock to it. She has not toured in the U.S. since 2011.
Minogue’s Vegas residency will begin on November 3 and is expected to include about a dozen shows. Tickets go on sale on August 9.
Minogue promises extravagant costumes and dances, saying that at this point in her career she has “earned the right to” play Las Vegas.
“I’ve performed a couple of times at Vegas, but as part of a tour, and particularly when I did the Showgirl tour in 2004 – at that time we said, ‘oh, this feels like a Vegas show’, the Australian pop star said at a Los Angeles news conference.

Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter has traded in his helmet for a baton. Today, April 7th, the French musician released his first solo work since the group’s breakup, an orchestral album called Mythologies.
The project was initially commissioned in 2019 by choreographer Angelin Preljocaj for a ballet of the same name. The end result is a 90-minute composition that “reveals a love of Baroque music and hints to traces of American minimalism,” according to a press release. Take a listen below.
After 28 years together, Daft Punk formally called it quits in February 2021. In a recent interview, Bangalter shed light on the reason for their breakup, saying he became increasingly uncomfortable with the convergence of music and technology.
On May 12th, Daft Punk will release a 10th anniversary edition of their final album, Random Access Memories. In the meantime, revisit their 10 most memorable musical moments here.

Ever since Chris Pine was first spotted on the set of Wonder Woman 1984, the internet has been abuzz with theories regarding how Diana’s old love interest Steve Trevor could be making a return despite his supposed death at the end of the previous film.
Fortunately, director Patty Jenkins may have already helped us narrow down the possibilities by at least one, based on an excerpt from an old Elle video featuring Jenkins and actress Lucy Davis that resurfaced on Reddit yesterday. In the 12-second clip, the filmmaker addresses the theory that during Steve’s visit to Themyscira, the pilot “accidentally bathed in magic Amazonian waters that will help resurrect him.” Jenkins’ response is short and to-the-point: “I’ve got bad news for everybody.”
While the director’s answer doesn’t entirely rule out Steve rising from the dead through means beyond magic water, there’s also the possibility...

Troy: Fall Of A City is a good-looking show with a clear identity, if one let down by its mythical lead. Spoilers ahead in our review...

It’s always difficult to judge the first episode of a new show. There is so much to establish, and so many questions left unanswered with no knowledge of whether or not the answer will be satisfying. In the case of a series based on mythology, we might have a somewhat better idea of the broad direction in which the show is headed, but we still don’t know exactly how it will get there. All we can really say at the end of a first episode is whether or not it made us want to watch the second one. In this case, the answer is, with some slight reservations – yes,...

My DVD of Just Like a Woman (1967), pre-ordered months earlier and delayed because it was in the same order as The Devils (1971), arrived two days after its director, Robert Fuest, died. Come to think of it, I think Ken Russell was still alive when I ordered The Devils. An obituary double feature.
Above: Career best performance. Career worst hair.
I was very keen to see Just Like a Woman, Fuest’s first feature, even though I wasn’t expecting it to be particularly good. I had an idea it was a swinging London sex comedy, not the kind of material he was associated with. For that, you’d have to look at his art-deco grand guignol comedies The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971) and its sequel from the following year, Dr. Phibes Rises Again, and also at his pop-art masterpiece, The Final Programme (1973). Michael Moorcock, original author of the novel that one derived from,...

It’s a shame this skilled and stylish director wasn’t a bit more prolific as his The Abominable Dr. Phibes ( 1971 – and its 1972 sequel Dr. Phibes Rises Again) exhibited a great sense of flair and pop art flamboyance and provided Vincent Price with one of his most beloved roles. Robert Fuest’s other credits included the extremely suspenseful And Soon The Darkness (1970) about two English girls on a cycling tour across the French countryside unaware they’re being stalked by a killer. Fuest shot the ridiculous but colorful The Devil’S Rain (1975) in the U.S. and Mexico but it was so savagely reviewed, it seemed to kill off a most promising career as his only subsequent credits were Return Of The Stepford Wives (TV -. 1980) and the soft-core Greece-shot opus Aphrodite (1982). He worked as Art Director on the New Avengers TV series and retired to focus on his passion...
