This was a fantastic show and it's upsetting that I'm unable to find it to buy anywhere on the Internet. For the sake of fairness I'll give it 8 out of 10, but personally for me it was a 10/10. Though it has been years, I can recall that it was delightful for mixing comedy with drama, despite being completely sci-fi in nature. A family from the distant planet of Zyrgon are forced to flee from their home after the father cheats on the lottery for the 27th time. His daughter, X, is the family organiser, as on Zyrgon it's the children who manage their families. Customs on Zyrgon are vastly different to those on Earth, where they accidentally wind up, and the show revolves around them trying to adapt to Earth's customs and fit in without being noticed, but naturally things get a bit hairy, as one of the law enforcers from Zyrgon is hot on their tail and X is wanted for arrest for the crime of treason. She also has to come to terms with the fact that on Earth, she is no longer in charge of her family.

I am hoping that the show gets released on DVD in the near future! I miss it.

Amazing, refreshing, very fun series

This was one of my all-time favourite kid's shows, and it gave Australian TV exports a good name. The actual premise was genius, and the characters really did seem as though they were out-siders just trying to fit in on Earth. The universal themes like love, gratitude and truth being experienced for the first time were handled in a slightly too corny way, but in general, there was a variety of content, from drama to comedy. Good acting, good scripts and a refreshing idea. Why was there only one series?

I cannot rate this highly enough! It's a must for children and adults alike. The books are just as good as the show.
