Jessica Alba was once one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but she has turned away from the limelight since. Her career was marked by highs and lows, and Alba enjoyed a lot of success at the height of her popularity.
The actress’ journey to stardom was not easy, though, and it took her years to open up about her troubles. What Alba endured during her teenage years was nothing short of horrific, and she still carries those scars to this day, with her experiences mirroring that of Sydney Sweeney’s.

Working on the science fiction series Dark Angel brought both Jensen Ackles and Jessica Alba their fair share of success, despite some ups and downs. Fox’s show, which starred Alba as super soldier Max Guevara escaping from government agents in a post-apocalyptic Seattle, was created by James Cameron and Charles H. Eglee and premiered in 2000.
During the second season, Ackles joined the show as Max’s fellow supersoldier, Alec McDowell (X5-494). The actors engaged in a lot of fighting during Dark Angel’s action sequences, but Ackles maintained that the tension between them was even greater off-screen.

Andrew Keegan was one of the many mid-tier teeny-bopper heartthrobs of the 1990s, with roles in Camp Nowhere, sitcom Thunder Alley and, near the end of his popularity in the decade, a smaller role in 10 Things I Hate About You, not to mention spots on quintessential ‘90s TV like Full House, Step by Step and Boy Meets World. The dude had his fans to be sure, but a cult following is taking it a little too far…
Andrew Keegan’s career shift was inevitable – you don’t stay a Tiger Beat cover boy forever – but when it was believed that he was leading a cult in his 30s, no one could have predicted that. On a recent episode of Pod Meets World, the gang asked Andrew Keegan about the rumors circulating that he had launched a cult in California in the mid-2010s. “You mean when I woke up...

It is hard to believe (for people of a certain age), but the year 1994 was 30 years ago! For this week’s poll, we wanted to step back into the time machine and reminisce about what could possibly be considered one of the best years in cinema history. If, like me, you are in your thirties, 1994 holds a nostalgic place due to movies such as Blank Check, D2: The Mighty Ducks, Major League 2, Clifford, The Flintstones, Getting Even With Dad, Little Big League, Angels in the Outfield, The Little Rascals, Camp Nowhere, Richie Rich and Little Giants. The year also represented the huge breakout of comedy legend Jim Carrey as Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber were all released during that single calendar year.
But it wasn’t just movies aimed at a child’s heart that were released in 1994. The year also saw some genuine...

Jessica Alba has opened up about her early years in the film industry and how she protected herself against “predators in Hollywood”.
The actor, now 41, was just 12 years old when she landed her first on-screen role in the 1994 adventure-comedy Camp Nowhere.
From then on, Alba made a name for herself, portraying characters whose beauty and sexuality were at the centre of their identities, in films such as dance-romance Honey (2003) and action noir Sin City – Recut, Extended, Unrated (2005).
Speaking on a new episode of CNN’sWho’s Talking to Chris Wallace? programme, the Fantastic Four star addressed Hollywood’s objectification of her as a sex symbol in the early stages of her career.

Quack! Quack! Quack! In the spirit of movies like Heavyweights and Camp Nowhere, the Mighty Ducks are heading to Summer Camp for some off-season shenanigans. Today, Disney+ released a Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Season 2 trailer that finds the underdog team thrown into a larger pond where predators are waiting to clip their wings.
“After winning back the Mighty Ducks team name last year, our squad-with-heart and their coach Alex Morrow (Lauren Graham) take to the road to attend an intense summer hockey institute in California run by charming yet hardcore former NHL player, Colin Cole (Josh Duhamel),” reads the official synopsis. “It’s a place for kids to get excellent at hockey — without school to get in the way. As our Ducks try to survive in this super-competitive environment, they’re faced with the question: Can you win summer?”

Hollywood actress Jessica Alba feels women will not take a step back as the entertainment industry moves towards revival in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic. She says women are going to be in high demand, adding that if anybody is going to stay at home, it will probably be men.
"I actually feel like women are in such high demand that if anybody is going to be staying at home, it will probably be going to be the man," Alba said while talking about how the industry will change after the virus crisis, and the place of women in the new reality.
"There really is a major pull on women -- behind the camera, in executive positions, in positions of power -- because it is proven that your business will thrive and will be better off, if there's diversity. So, if you have too much of one thing or the another,...

Just nine months into its existence, and Disney+ original programming has already run the full gamut, from critically beloved series like “The Mandalorian” to theatrical cast-offs best left forgotten. One piece of programming mostly missing so far: , family-friendly fare to fill a lazy Friday night. And while there’s nothing wrong with that, the lack of imagination on display in Mark Waters’ “Magic Camp” is almost more depressing than the incomprehensible weirdness of Kenneth Branagh’s Ya flop. At least that film was trying for something.
The best warning of what’s to come arrives in the opening credits: the film comes from six screenwriters, and while many of the half-dozen scribes (not counting the two additional with only “story by” credits) it took to write “Magic Camp” are quite talented folk, little of that magic makes its way into this feature. In fact, he stated that she’s been running a sorority within the cult called Dos, that brands women, presides over them like they’re slaves, and recruits top performers for Keith’s harem! Believe it or not, Allison admitted to the branding, and even took credit for the horrifying idea! Keep reading for more info on the 35-year-old's life now. Actress Allison Mack — best known for playing Clark Kent's friend Chloe Sullivan on the TV show Smallville — has been arrested for her role in the alleged sex cult, Nxivm. She also allegedly gave Raniere naked photos of the slaves. Allison — who reportedly ranked right below Raniere in the cult's hierarchy — last made headlines after she was seen chasing Raniere as cops arrested him in Mexico. Back to the Future left fans with plenty of burning questions. One of them: How exactly did Doc Brown weasel a full supply of plutonium out of a group of Libyan nationalists? That’s the question answered by a fan-made trailer for a fake Back to the Future prequel titled 1.21 Gigawatts. The all-important amount of power that propels the DeLorean through time had to come from somewhere. We know Doc Brown fooled the Libyans when he built them a “bomb” full of used pinball machine parts. What we didn’t know is Doc was basically the star of his own political thriller in his endeavor to get that plutonium. Below, watch the excellent trailer that seamlessly edits together clips from a number of movies: Edited by fan Tyler Hopkins, the trailer uses clips from Back to the Future (of course); Christopher Lloyd movies My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do...

This is one of the coolest fan-made trailers I've seen in a long time. Editor Tyler Hopkins created a trailer for a would-be Back to the Future prequel called 1.21 Gigawatts that shows how Christopher Lloyd's iconic scientist Emmett "Doc" Brown first got involved with the Libyan terrorists who "kill" him in Bttf.
This is a fan edit trailer of what I think would make a pretty awesome movie: a Back to the Future prequel that explores Doc's shady dealings with the Libyan terrorist group. This was made using clips from: Back to the Future, My Favorite Martian, Camp Nowhere, Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead, Dennis the Menace, Zero Dark Thirty, Argo, The Sum of All Fears, Syriana, Iron Man, Dazed and Confused and Munich.
This is a brilliant concept, and Hopkins cut everything together in expert fashion. If there was enough footage out there to turn...

The hot popular guy of '90s films and TV is now a church leader.
You may remember Andrew Keegan as the teen dad on 7th Heaven, the bad boy Zach in Camp Nowhere or the high school heartthrob/jerk in 10 Things I Hate About You. But for many, he's now the leader of a "spiritual movement" in Los Angeles' Venice Beach.
Vice reports that the 35-year-old has made a major career transition and is now overseeing the new-age church Full Circle. Though even the members don't seem super certain of the mission statement of the religion, there is a talking parrot named Krishna and a guy named Third Eye who greets you at the entrance.
Vice says the movement "integrates the indigenous and modern practices, bringing individuals, community and organizations together as indispensable collaborators realizing a co-creative, sustainable and fulfilling future."

Many children of the '90s have fond memories of Andrew Keegan, who played the adorable rebel Zack in Camp Nowhere, the douchey but inarguably hot popular guy in 10 Things I Hate About You, and teen dad Wilson West on 7th Heaven. Now Vice is reporting that the actor is embarking on a second act: this time as the leader of a "spiritual movement" based in La's Venice neighborhood. The church, Full Circle, is home to a talking pet parrot named Krishna, and its website describes it as a "conscious social movement" that "integrates the indigenous and modern practices, bringing individuals, community and organizations together as indispensable collaborators realizing a co-creative, sustainable and fulfilling future." Andrew fell off the pop-culture radar around the turn of the millennium - resurfacing after an unfortunate Tasering incident and arrest in 2011 - but now says he's newly focused on spreading peace after a spiritual...

Like most of you, the last time I saw Andrew Keegan he was writhing in pain after Bianca punched him in the nose "for making my date bleed," punched him again "for my sister" and kneed him in the groin "for me."
But Sundance celebrants got up close and personal with the 10 Things I Hate About You star this weekend when he hit the slopes, the gifting suites and the parties all in support of his new movie .... Yea, I'm still waiting for that info.
Personally, I prefer to remember Andrew circa 1994 when he starred alongside Jonathan Jackson and Christopher Lloyd in Camp Nowhere -- a little seen, much beloved (by me) movie about kids who trick their parents into sending them to a fictional camp so they can get a summer off. I want to tell you how good it is, but suspect the memory of its excellence solely...

Title: A Good Old Fashioned Orgy Directed By: Alex Gregory and Peter Huyck Starring: Jason Sudeikis, Tyler Labine, Lake Bell, Michelle Borth, Lindsay Sloane, Martin Starr, Angela Sarafyan, Lucy Punch, Will Forte, Lin Shaye, David Koechner You know what A Good Old Fashioned Orgy reminds me of? Summer camp. Okay, clearly orgy and kids’ camp don’t really go together; it’s more of the combination of summertime and a group of friends getting together to enjoy some shenanigans. Rather than a pool party with sparklers à la Camp Nowhere, the A Good Old Fashioned Orgy characters enjoy drinking themselves into oblivion and planning a night packed with group sex. While I’ll...

American actor Andrew Keegan was handcuffed and tasered by California police on Saturday night after becoming embroiled in a dispute with cops, according to a report.
Keegan, best known for his role in 1994's Camp Nowhere, was hosting a party in Marina Del Rey when officers arrived on the scene and asked the star to turn down the volume of the music.
TMZ.com claims the actor refused and became "very aggressive", prompting cops to spring into action.
However, authorities insist Keegan was never officially placed under arrest and he was subsequently released without charge.

Remember Andrew Keegan? He was like, sooo dreamy on "7th Heaven" and sooo obnoxious (but still dreamy!) in "10 Things I Hate About You."
The '90s heart throb, now 32 years old, was tasered by police officers when they arrived on the scene to a loud party in Marina Del Ray. TMZ reports that cops received a noise complaint, but when they asked Keegan to turn his music down, he became aggressive.
"He was tasered right in front of me," one party-goer told Us. "Oh my God, it was so awful."
Apparently, the scene was so intense that helicopters and over 15 uniformed officers were called to the scene. "He was throwing a block party [and I] saw it happen," says the witness. "You could tell he was in pain."
Friends say that the incident shook him up pretty badly. He was never arrested.
We're going to go watch "Camp Nowhere" now.

Jessica Alba has said that she finds it flattering that she is still considered to be a sex symbol by her fans. The Little Fockers star, who made her film debut in 1994's Disney comedy Camp Nowhere, told Harper's Bazaar that she is surprised that the general public still holds her physical appearance in such high regard. "I thought that was over and they'd moved onto someone else," she said. "It's very flattering. You know, it helps being airbrushed and having make-up artists and hairdressers." (more)...

Opening today is a thriller called Kalamity, starring Nick Stahl (Sin City, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) as a heartbroken young man who returns home to Northern Virginia to find his best friend, played by Jonathan Jackson (Camp Nowhere, Insomnia), unstable, withdrawn, and possibly hiding a deadly secret. Mr. Stahl was kind enough to give me a slice of his time earlier this week, and the conversation that ensued tore the very fabric of the space-time continuum. And by that, I mean, it was quite lovely.

Today (Mon. Feb. 8), a few of the "Jersey Shore" castmembers dropped in on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" (literally) to celebrate its 1100th episode.
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and DJ Pauly Delvecchio joined Ellen DeGeneres and "Valentine's Day" star Jessica Alba for the momentous occasion.
Here are our favorite fist pumping moments and our least favorite moments, Aka the grenades:
Fist pump: Ellen made several jokes about the cast's propensity for tanning. At one point she sprayed herself with an aerosol can and, through the magic of TV, her face turned oompa loompa orange!
Grenade: Mike's shirt situation: a transparent white button-down. It looked as if he had barely escaped an explosion at Armani Exchange. Mike, Season 2 is on. You don't have to buy from the clearance rack anymore.
Fist pump: Alba was forced to sit with the "Shore" cast backstage and the look on her face was priceless.

Jessica Alba is the next celeb to be featured in Zap2it's "Valentine's Day" countdown for the month of love.
Alba won our hearts long ago, first as a child star in "Camp Nowhere" and "P.U.N.K.S." Then there was her brief teen movie stage. Before starring opposite Devon Sawa in "Idle Hands," she played one of the three mean girls in the Drew Barrymore teen rom com "Never Been Kissed."
You can see her several times in the "Never Been Kissed" trailer below.
Yes, before Alba's dance flick "Honey," there was Disco Barbie.
We also love the moves she did on "Dark Angel," the series in which she played a genetically enhanced super soldier in a dystopian future. The producers knew that it was Alba's looks, however, that was one of the main draws, so they occasionally added scenes like this one:

Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert Pattinson. Photographs by Brigitte Lacombe (DiCaprio) and Bruce Weber (Pattinson). "Not since Leo, circa Titanic, has a young actor been so aggressively beloved by 13-year-old girls worldwide," writes Evgenia Peretz in her Vanity Fair profile of Robert Pattinson (Twilight's Hot Gleaming, December 2009). Peretz is right—and I would know. I was one of those teenage girls who got caught up in the "Leo-mania" fan frenzy in the late 90s. The first copy of Vanity Fair I ever bought was the January 1998 issue with Leo on the cover. I hung Tiger Beat and Teen Bop posters of Leo on my bedroom walls. And after I saw Titanic in the movie theater six times, one of my friends and I even created a Leo Web site, at a time when you could only access the Internet via a dial-up modem. Sure, there were other Hollywood stars that set...

The Camp Nowhere star was accused of making his former partner Kristi Parrales' life a misery after allegedly attacking her and slashing the tyres of her car.
She filed papers in Los Angeles Superior Court in August, asking a judge to keep the 30 year old away from her.
However, earlier this month a judge rejected Parrales' claims, and has not issued an order against Keegan, according to TMZ.com.
Keegan previously denied all the allegations and insisted he was hundreds of miles away in Las Vegas at the time his ex claims he damaged her vehicle.

For someone who plays a supporting character in a show about Superman, the only character who was not previously part of the much-mined lore, Allison Mack’s Chloe Sullivan has become not just a staple of Smallville, but (one could argue) the very glue that holds everything else together. Allison Mack was born on July 29th, 1982 in Preetz, Germany. Her parents Jonathan (an opera singer) and her mother, Mindy, are both American. Allison also has a younger sister named Robyn, and an older brother named Shannon. When Allison was 2, the Macks moved back stateside and settled in Long Beach, California. From the age of 4, Allison was doing print work and commercials -- she began taking classes at The Young Actors Space in L.A. at age 7. Soon after, she found work in television projects like I Know My First Name is Steven, Empty Nest, Evening Shade, Camp Nowhere, Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves,...
