Explores teen relationship violence
smontezcsw26 March 2005
"It Ain't Love," is a documentary following a teen theater group from Brooklyn, FACES- Maimonides Theater Network for Teens, as they struggle with the issue of teen relationship violence. The film honestly reflects the groups difficulties in examining their own experiences with this type of violence and their efforts to heal themselves and educate others as they create a show on the subject.

The film received many awards, was funded by the United States Department of Justice and is required viewing in many High Schools around the country. It is still considered the premiere film on the subject. It is used by groups of all ages and reflects the pain and fear involved in such relationships.

The FACES group continues to use scenes created during the making of the film to this day. They have been invited to tour the country and Germany based on the power of the message.

The film can be purchased for $20.00 through the FACES group. The film was produced by Edward James Olmos and Lorraine Bracco through Olmos Productions
