The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

Only a few passionate kisses and Vladimir acts flirtaciously around Sophie.

Violence & Gore

Anya hands Dimitri a lit stick of dynamite that he uses to uncouple two train cars. After the threesome has jumped from the train, the two cars fall through a broken bridge and crash onto the ground below and then explode. Anastasia slaps Dimitri across the face in one scene.

Profanity

Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking

Dimitri and others have champagne at their table (but don't drink any) in a Parisian musical number. In a song Vladimir sings about a man loving vodka. People are seen smoking on the streets of Paris and one of the women hoping to pose as Anastasia is holding a cigarette holder with a smoldering cigarette in it.

Rasputin has some sort of "spirit cylinder" that has a green, glowing substance inside as well as a snake running around the outside and a human skull on the top, all of which may be disturbing to young kids. The destroying of said cylinder could also be disturbing to children. Anya (Anastasia now) crushes the cylinder with her foot. A huge green tower of fire comes out of the sky, destroying Rasputin phase by phase. At one moment you see his bodily fluids which then dissolve. The last thing to be visible is his skeleton, which continues to twith and thrash about before the bones turn to dust and blow away. It's a pretty gruesome scene. Rasputin may frighten some younger children.
