Warning: Spoilers
"Trail's End" is one of the better Johnny Mack Brown oaters of the period. It has plenty of action, hard ridin' and fisticuffs.

Brown continues to use the name Johnny Mack for his character. This time around, we find him breaking a buckin' bronco as foreman of the Joe Stuart (George Chesebro) ranch. Ranch hand Drake (Myron Healey) has discovered gold on the ranch. He goes to unscrupulous lawyer Mel Porter (Douglas Evans) to propose a partnership with Porter's task being the aquistion of the Stuart spread.

Down on his luck fellow rancher Bill Cameron (Keith Richards) who has just been released from prison. He returns to his run down ranch to start anew. Cameron is in love with Stuart's daughter Laurie (Kay Morley) but Stuart is vehemently opposed to their marriage. When Stuart slaps Laurie around, Johnny comes to her defence and Stuart fires him. Alibi and "Elmer" drop in for a visit but soon moves on.

When Stuart continues to hold out on the sale of his ranch, Porter sees an opportunity to get the ranch from Laurie if Stuart is out of the way. He brings in gunman Clem Kettering (Zon Murray) and assigns him the task of eliminating Stuart. Kettering and his men Gun down the rancher but Alibi witnesses the murder. They capture Alibi and take him to a hidden cabin.

Cameron is accused of Stuart's murder because of the animosity between them. With his past record and his spat with Stuart, he is jailed by the sheriff (William Bailey. Johnny pledges to find the real killer before Cameron is brought to trial. However Cameron manages to escape. Johnny tracks him down and brings him back in.

Alibi arranges for one of his mules to wander away. The animal returns to the Stuart ranch and Johnny becomes suspicious about Alibi's sudden disappearance. He returns to the scene of the murder and finds "Elmer" who Alibi had left behind when he was taken by the bad guys. He tracks Alibi to the hide out and frees him after a fight with his captors.

Drake and Kettering return to Porter's office with Johnny in pursuit and.................................................. Cameron is cleared and he and Laurie live happily ever after.
