Hyapatia Nails It
layla_n_slowhand8 April 2009
Her long red nails are in top form as Randy finds out; the shy demure Hyapatia is so steaming hot in this one, so over the top gorgeous - you about want to jump through your screen and devour her. Her stunning beauty radiates, lighting up every scene she's in; what a gorgeous lady. Her teasing of West is something to feed your most seductive fantasies...so naieve, so tantalizing, this one will has stayed clear in my memories for many years. The remainder of the story, cast and scenes are average at best; pretty typical. If you have a thing for Hyapatia...make sure to catch her in this one, you'll likely be quite pleasured.

Old School Adult cinema, nicely executed
lor_12 April 2019
This life-style Adult movie bears little resemblance 21st Century porn, in that the sex scenes are brief, often cross-cut rather than allowed to run on interminably in pseudo-real time, and the action is character-driven. It's light and frothy but very well performed by an interesting cast.

The setting is an apartment building in Marina Del Rey, making for easy interaction among the large cast of players and purporting to present a snapshot of a sexually free-wheeling community.

Most welcome is the inclusion of many different actresses, not merely superstars but lovely supporting femmes as well. Stereotypes are introduced in order to be debunked, notably Hyapatia Lee as a mousey librarian who is sexually unleashed in latter reels, and Richard Pacheco, finest Adult actor of his generation, as a repressed soul introduced in spades to sexual liberation by experienced pal Randy West.

Jamie Gillis is well-cast as a professor who likes to sample his femme students sexually, and John Leslie appears way against type as a handyman who also gets plenty of action.

Perhaps this type of frivolous movie doesn't hold up as well as more serious features (see: Damiano's works for example), but that holds true in mainstream movies as well - note the enduring popularity and esteem accorded 1940s and early 1950s film noir compared to contemporary comedies or musicals of that period. For me this sort of film demonstrates in bold relief what has been lost and forgotten by today's generation of pornographers, who worship "chemistry" and "a hot scene" above all else, throwing out the script with the bathwater.

Disappointing.

Very good movie in parts but missing cum shots in the final scene with Rachel Ashley and Richard. Not good.
