There seem to be very few films with compelling teenage heroines, but this is one of them. Admittedly, some of the themes are cliched and the storyline is pretty predictable. However, I think it's worth watching if you like seeing strong female characters.

Changed my perspective

Great movie. I own it, but it's been a few years since I've seen it. I first saw it soon after it's release and it was what first opened up my mind to the pro-choice perspective regarding women's bodies, our rights, and abortion. Now my views have done a complete 180 and I owe it in part to Wrestling with Alligators for getting me to start questioning my conservative religious upbringing. So thank you to all involved. :)
Big thumbs up here

I really liked this movie. It has the intimacy and pace of a very good teenage-book, in the style of Robin Klein, and has some fine acting to boot, especially Aleska Pallidino as Maddy. I can't believe it has only recieved a rating of 5.1 on the viewer scale, which leads me to the conclusion that this movie won't suit all tastes. You're either going to hate this movie, if you have no patience, or you're going to love it like I did. Big thumbs up.
