Horse trainer meets horse addict
vitachiel6 August 2006
Felt a bit ill at ease watching this movie. Depressed husbands, unsympathetic characters and an overall feeling of emptiness pervade here. It gets better the longer you watch. The movie contains one classic scene, when the three ditched husbands find themselves together in Tony's room. The scene is intense and pretty funny, more of this would've certainly added to the movie's charm. Though well-acted, the film loses its credibility by the extremity of the characters' peculiars: one of the husbands has a secret heroin addiction and an affair with a porn model, the other is a gun-tossing, manic depressive, unpredictable lawyer. We get to know very little of the main character's backgrounds, other than that he is very fond of horses (and rather twisted in his expressions I must say). Overall a movie that will be forgotten about quickly, except for that one scene…
