- There are Serbian/Bosnian dialogues scattered in the movie, in which the English subtitles display the swearing of the conversations. These include 5x S-Word.
- At least four uses of the f word. (Perhaps two aren't as noticeable without subtitles, but they're there.)
- 11 "s" words, 2 "a*holes", 3 hells, 2 damns, 2 asses (1 used with "hole"), 2 uses of S. O. B., 10 uses of "G-damnit," and 1 use each of "For Christ's sakes" and 2 of "Jesus Christ" as exclamations (some of them in different language subtitles). 2 English use of the F-Word (Then what the fuck is the problem" used by gene hackman, and also by Owen Wilson later on.)

- A man accidentally steps on a land mine, pulling the trigger halfway out of it's notch. He asks another man to help him reset it. The other man just walks away, and we later hear an explosion, implying that the first man died.
