What? No Oscar?

OK-so maybe Vampire Holocaust did not deserve the Academy Award, but it is a can't miss motion picture. I know of four people who have actually seen it, and we all feel the same. As of now-we need one more vote of ten to get it an average of ten on this site. True-I would never have seen it had a friend of mine not been in it, but nonetheless it is a riotous, non-stop thriller, jam-packed with wacky one-liners and brilliant local Kansas City acting including Walter Stewart. Sadly, one of the movie's fellow viewers no longer has a job or a house in which to watch this movie. But, he still feels the first part of it was well worth his last few minutes in his home. Who else can say that about their favorite movie?

Bloody but enjoyable.

I enjoyed watching Vampire Holocaust. There was a lot of blood and guts, but the human characters seemed realistic and the main vampire had an impressive speaking voice. I also like that it was set in Kansas City, near where I live. A recognizable setting makes the movie more interesting. It also had the humor of old-school horror movies.

This movie was the greatest.
erisian.12 February 1999
I was having a very bad day. That morning, I slept through my alarm, my breakfast was overcooked, and then my car exploded. Needless to say, I was late for work. That's why they fired me. So I got home, after the mugging, and fell to my couch. I decided to throw in this movie a friend gave me. It was Vampire Holocaust. Now, I only got through the first half before my power was shut off, and the landlord evicted me, but it was the BEST first half of a movie I've ever seen! Phenomenal! I may not have a job, or a place to live, but I'm okay with that. Because I know, that out there, somewhere, is the single greatest motion picture ever made: Vampire Holocaust.

Oh yes, Walter Stewart was great.

Don't be misled by the title, this film has nothing to do with the Holocaust.

But it sure has plenty of vampires!

So, if you love movies with vampires (and who doesn't?), this is your kind of movie! Whereas, if you love movies featuring the Holocaust, this may not be what quite what you're looking for.

Give it a try, anyway. Undoubtedly the next Cult Classic.

Loved IT! Vampires AND Holocausts--where can you go wrong?

I love this movie! It's hard to find, but it is well worth the trouble. I love this movie! One acting job in particular stirred my emotions and sent my mind into a swirling miasma of scintillating thoughts and turgid ideas--Walter Stewart. I hope he has done other movies, because this man is incredible. I love this movie!
