Well, it's not a complete wreck.

People often make fun of how bad German comedy is but French comedy is perhaps even more worse, in my opinion. Having said that, this movie is not completely horrible, it just is a bit of a lame and simplistic one at times.

There are of course countless movies out there that are involving the Dracula character, set in modern times. This is one of those, that is taking a comical approach to the genre as well, which makes the movie somewhat enjoyable but yet at the same time also far from a great one.

The comedy is very random and also a bit too lame at times. It besides often relies too much on its actors, even while the actors involved clearly weren't the most talented ones. It even seemed as if most of them had never acted in anything else before, which however wasn't he case though, since this movie is actually a part of a long running series of comedy movies, called Les Charlots, which every time featured different stories and settings but always some of the same actors/characters.

You can clearly tell that this was a movie that was supposed to be all about its characters, since I often completely lost the feeling that this was a Dracula/vampire movie I was watching here. The main story too often gets pushed to the background, to show the antics of its main characters instead.

It's also a movie that tend to feel a bit overlong at times, even though the movie is only 85 minutes short. It's probably because the movie too often stretches certain bits out, no doubt in an attempt to make the movie longer.

It's not an absolutely horrible movie but not really one that you should be running out to see.

Crazy Boys vs. Dracula Junior

This movie was released in English in India and I remember seeing it in theaters in the mid Eighties. If my memory is correct, this was the last movie in the Les Charlots series (Crazy Boys as they are known in India) to be dubbed into English and released in India. However, there is no information available on whether these movies were released in English in DVD/ home media. For all purposes- it seems no one is aware of the English avatar of this movie
