The editor of the small newspaper in remote Cuero, Texas wins the Pulitzer prize for his investigation of a land scandal in his state. A deal for veterans to be able to buy state owned land cheaply is being corruptly manipulated where unknowing vets are used as cat's paws for larger interests.
