Nice acting.
presheva22 January 2000
The solid start and plot, but a lot of technical mistakes on the end, with a lack of sound eff and music on the last reel. Some of the repliques are missing or misspelled in dubbing, due to deadline rush, as it seems. With a careful sound design, this could be the nice movie.

M. Altioklar did it again...
mge_x1 March 2007
Warning: Spoilers
He's always the same! in his movies there's no sign of intelligence... if there's, the movie is just a copy of Hollywood movies.

Asansor is one of the most boring films i've ever watched. Altioklar was trying to do something, but what??? trying to be interesting? different? cult? wanna confuse our brains and then shock us ? wanna make us think?

During the movie i've always waited for something to happen. i always said to myself "alright a few minutes later, there will be something and i will say 'i can't believe this intelligence' and i will applause all the crew on my feet!". But... till the end of the movie there's just NOTHING!

And Arzu Yanardag is not a good actress, she acts unnatural. she was acted in the beginning of Turkish TV-Series Gumus, Yanardag was very well on these scenes. i wish she can always act like that.

Mustafa Ugurlu is one of the greatest actors in Turkey, but i think he doesn't fit the movie, Ugurlu deserves much better than this.

P.S. : one of my friends said that Asansor is a completely copied movie. I'm not sure but i guess it is copied from an European movie, but i didn't watch. If someone knows the original movie pls write down its name in your comment.

Bad Sample
metina11 December 2000
Really bad samples of new generation Turkish films. This film reflects the director's non ripen cinema culture. He use too incomprehensible objects and metaphor. Basic, non merry, boring sample of non-traditional Turkish cinema.
