Alec Guinness brings a wonderfully light comic touch and an endearing cheerfulness to his starring role. Glynis Johns is quite annoying, and Petula Clark (whom I always knew was a singer) has a small role.
This is an old-fashioned comedy - wooden, unsubtle - but worth watching for Alec Guinness.
