Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Very disturbing movie.
  • The Joker's appearances and actions may scare some viewers.
  • We see scenes of Robin being tortured
  • Robin's demeanor after being brainwashed and "converted" into Joker, Jr. by the Joker is disturbing.
  • Seeing someone go mad and turn into someone else is kind of "frightening."

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Robin shoots the Joker in the chest and kills him. In the edited version, Robin shoved Joker to a water place with wires.
  • In a lengthy flashback sequence, Tim Drake /Robin is kidnapped and then phsycially and psychologically tortured by the Joker. This includes a brief but graphic electrocution and implied torture with medical instruments. Tim is seen physically transformed into a "joker Junior" and mentally traumatised by his ordeal. He eventally almost executes Batman, but murders the Joker instead. The whole flashback is very disturbing. (Deleted.
