Storyline
Plot Summary |
Mutant snakes survived a terrorist attack on a government laboratory, and they now threaten the town of Santa Mira Springs, California. Seismic activity has brought snakes to the surface, where residents are being bitten. Victims can transmit the virus to healthy persons. The military puts the town under quarantine. Local physicians try to control the epidemic, while the military is primarily concerned with keeping the virus a secret. Written by wkmiller704@yahoo.com |

Trivia | Major Manchek in "Venomous" must be related to the general of the same name from "The Andromeda Strain" (1972), another virus thriller. Both movies also refer to "Directive 712", described in "Andromeda Strain" as the use of a nuclear detonation to prevent the spread of a virus. See more » |
Goofs | The respirator masks being used by the hospital staff are not a biological contaminant style, (Powered Air Purifying Respirator) the orange label cartridges shown being used are only for organic vapors, i.e. chlorine, chlorine dioxide or sulfur dioxide etc. In effect, the hospital staff are using respirators no better than simply covering their nose with their hands.
