The story line is fairly common. Decent special effects and some sexual innuendos. Mild violence, strong language and brief nudity. The acting is above average for the low budget on this film. There are a few good humorous gags in the film. Not a bad way to pass 90 minutes if your home sick from work.

One hundred percent fun

This one deserves to be talked about more. Incredibly entertaining collection of bad people doing bad things to each other and making it look fun. It also has possibly the sexiest and scariest femme fatale in film history.
Pretty good late-80's action flick!

I actually really liked this movie. It has the look and style of a late 1980's action movie. The story is fairly typical, but the acting jobs were well above average for a low budget movie. Most of these actors and actresses involved in this movie have no other movies to their credit according to the IMDB. This movie also must have not had very good distrobution, because i had never even heard of it before recently when i found the vhs tape in a bargain bin.
If i had to pin down what it was exactly that i truly liked about this movie i'm not sure i could. It just had a good atmosphere throughout the film. Check it out, you might like it as well.

Good gore, done in bad taste

My review was written in June 1990 after watching the movie on Raedon video cassette.
"Desert Snow" is an extremely gory regional action film made in Arizona. It's of interest to fans of outre videos.
Filmmaker Paul DeGruccio grafts elements of Herschell Gordon Lewis' legendary "Blood Feast" onto the usual crime picture with an okay gimmick: illegal aliens are being murdered to retrieve the swallowed containers of cocaine they're forced to smuggle into the U. S. Gangsters led by Sam Incorvia and Simo maceo are involved in the bloody shenanigans while Steve Labatt is the good guy who tries to stop the mayhem and avenge the death of his buddy.
Main point of interest here is Maceo's main squeeze Tanya (Cynthia Miles), who delights in tasting people's blood. The emphasis on her brands the picture as an unrated exploitation title.
Film overreaches with too many plot twists in the last reel and a cryptic finale. Gore effects are convincing.
