This film was a thesis project for the director and it won an award at the Sundance festival. It was effective in that it recreated a time in history and then placed characters in that time that were believable and sympathetic but it failed to go much further than that.
I realize that shorts, by their very nature, are limited films and this one is successful as far as it goes. One wonders about these characters. What is the back-story? And what will happen next?
