Good Comedy With Moderate Acting
supremekelvin22 October 2005
Overall, this movie is a piece of good comedy. The scenes and dialogues of the characters are well-organized to create a sense of hilarity to the audiences. Unlike many Hong Kong's comedies nowadays, this movie makes more sense and gives the audience a better understanding of what the movie is about. Personally, this flick captured my attention.

However, the main concern about a movie is the acting quality of the casts. And in this case, this movie has lost out many points. The casts in this movie are good but their acting skills had just been wasted of. They never really show the best as they never put in any feelings or emotions while acting. Their expressions look very stiff and artificial. A good viewer would definitely see through it.

Miriam Yeung who plays the character Kuen, is trying to deceive people around her by pretending to be pregnant in this movie. She did so just to prevent from being fired by his boss(Edison Chen) after she did a mistake in her office. Edison Chen on the other hand, plays an emotional character who wanted to pursue his own ambition but has to follow his father's wish to handle his father's advertising company in which he had absolutely no interest in it. These two main casts should've put in more expressions into their role to make their role look more authentic. Thet have wasted their talent in the entire movie.

But still, this movie is good for those people who just seek to laugh a little and relax themselves. If your demands are not more than that, then go and watch this flick. It's for you!

Hilariously Enjoyable.

Warning: Spoilers
This movie is seriously very enjoyable and funny. It displays a lot about motherhood and pregnancy which then again helped us in more of the understanding of it. This will be another one of those Cantonese comedies that helps you to relax and just enable you to laugh your day off. With LK (Miriam Yueng) as the main character and the second main as Wu (Edison Chen), they were more likely to be together in the end as they showed more chemistry with each other. However, it turns out that Wu was instead with Dina (Niki Chow) who is also LK's best friend. LK feign pregnancy in order not to loose her job with the help of her good friend Dina and two other males. Through the process of making her lie a success, she encountered many hiccups some which include her being found out by her job superior Monica (Pauline Yam) who in turn ends up helping her in the end too. In this movie, you can see that the acting of Miriam Yeung is not very ripe yet whereby she was still not very experienced but still a good actress. As for Edison Chen, his acting was rather stiff and he may be playing an emotional character, but it does not depict all that. This movie showed much about friendship and motherhood which is a very light hearted film. One that you would enjoy after a day's work.
