A film makers personal journey to his homeland.

I saw this film at the Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema in April. 90 Miles is a well done documentary about a Cuban-born American (Juan Carlos Zaldivar), who left Cuba during the part of the Mariel Boatlift. Zaldivar shows his journey from his old homeland to the new through family photographs and home movies. The path to success did not come easy for him and his family, but sometime adapt to the new life in America. Zaldivar traveled ninety miles come to this country, but it seem like world away. A definite film not to be missed.
