It was tough and tense for a while, but Aamer got the original Motels back together for a one-night reunion. Right after lead singer Martha Davis told Aamer he'd be on drums, he went into the hallway and got Brian Glascock.
VH1's Bands Reunited had tried to reunite the '80s new wave/electro-pop group Berlin, best known for "Take My Breath Away," the hit theme from Top Gun. Aamer had a successful reunion with early-80's new age band Berlin.
Aamer gave it his best, but only two of the original members made it to the one-night only reunion. The bassist from Kajagoogoo and some session musicians filled in the space for an enjoyable concert.
