- This show as a whole is much, much darker and grimmer than most other entries in the Gundam franchise, being even darker than even the likes of "Zeta Gundam" and "Victory Gundam" by comparison. MANY characters die left and right, there's virtually no comic relief whatsoever, and it dwells upon themes like dehumanization, cloning and others. By the end of the series, any surviving characters are left with emotional scars because of the horrors they experience.
