Worst All Time? Probably Not But Close
mthibeault-5002121 March 2018
I remember this show and I'm sure the only reason I do is that it was so unbelievably awful. It was for real so bad that it for sure belongs in the argument for "worst Canadian comedy TV series of all time" and if you're reading this and you're not from Canada you have to believe me when I say that is putting this show in some really select company. Pop Cultured, Open Mike Bullard, Open Mike Warm Up Show just to name a few... this show probably isn't the worst but it really is almost that bad. Ouch.

It looked super cheap, the writing was so bad I remember groaning out loud. The jokes were pathetic. I like the Air Farce guy who was the star of this show but in this he and everyone else were just awful. I swear it is like they were trying to make the world's worst show on purpose. It didn't even last very long if my memory on that is correct (like a few weeks or episodes) which tells you how bad it was because there aren't many shows in Canada that get yanked off the air it's really more their way to show whole seasons of something then either bring it back or not bring it back.

I guess that is the polite "Canadian" way to cancel something ha ha.

Typical Canadian sitcom
purakek5 March 2004
Canadian TV comedies are funny if they're made up as a series of sketches like Air Farce, Wayne & Shuster or even Red Green (I've never seen any Ken Finkleman show so I can't judge his work). If they try for a full situation comedy (like the supposedly successful King of Kensington) it comes out draggingly slow and selectively funny. Don Ferguson of Air Farce and Kathy Greenwood (one of many familiar faces from Whose Line is it Anyway?) headline this show about an ex Prime Minister who doesn't get any respect. They play it safe and familiar; no outrageous moment, no unforgettable scene, just barely recommendable. The cast should just stick to improv.

Truly one of Canada's worst
robodrolet9 April 2018
XPM was truly one of Canada's worst ever shows. I love the Air Farce guy in it and Jessica Holmes who also did a sketch TV show is pretty good and funny but this show is just plain terrible. Every single thing about the show's writing, production, characters, situations, it was all so cheap and just plain bad.

Ill Conceived
wheaton-732-1503732 August 2018
This show was ill conceived and very poorly done. It just seemed like nothing about this show was done even close to correctly. The cast just shambles through delivering poorly written jokes in bad, predictable stories on a cheap looking set with such bad "Canadian TV" lighting and production.
