This was a great movie considering there was no budget and the director/writer did it all on his own.Who is this guy? Hey has great potential in the film business and am looking forward to what he brings to the entertainment industry.I thought the story for the length was insightful and action packed. I think the actors were incredible for not a lot of acting experience. Well done Deric Olsen this is a great start keep them coming. The scenic areas found in this movie were breath taking.it was really thought out and researched well. The leads did a great job with portraying the characters created by Olsen and I think they researched their roles well.the sound effects for his budget were well done and the music was great.Like I said before the entertainment industry is going to love this director and writer.Great job by everyone involved.

Not bad for a student film

Warning: Spoilers
Let me get this out of the way (this is my spoiler): THE MAIN LEADS HAVE NO ROMANTIC CHEMISTRY AT ALL! There's no much else to say about it, really. The leads are passable, if unimpressive actors, and the action scenes are as exciting as possible without any real effects work. The story is short and efficient, and the film is technically solid, given that it essentially had no budget.

John Knight is very impressive as Madsen, although he gets about 25 seconds of on-screen time. Watch for future stuff from him. I understand he's mostly focusing on stage work, but if you see his name in a playbill somewhere, check it out.

Overall, 2/5 for style and 3/5 substance. Style could easily have been raised to 4 with some money, however this score is already taking into account that this is a first-work. I can't justify anything higher for substance, though, considering the inclusion of a romantic subplot that doesn't work at all. According to the director, the male lead wouldn't kiss on-screen because he is married. Besides the fact that that's a weak excuse for an actor, it also doesn't change the fact that there needs to be some sense of attraction between two characters who are meant to be involved.
