I saw this after school special when I was just 16 years old. I cried and laughed. I did admire the was Santiago did not let anything get in his way of accomplishing what he wanted. I just admired his enthusiasm and courage. He was sure of him self and not a quitter. I was pregnant at this time and had just gotten out of high school my self. I had a name picked out for him already. I was going to name him after his father. I thought about it and continued to think about how Santiago was very strong. So when I had my son in December I named him "Santiago". No one could belief I named him after this after school PBS special. I did because he is special to me and always has and will be.
