Once again, why does this have to be a first-person narrative? It's not "found footage," because that implies the footage was lost at some point, and that's not the conceit of the film. And yet Blumhouse presents a film that would have worked perfectly well as a regular film with the "I can't stop filming everything" device grafted onto it, and the result is less than it could have been in the most frustrating of ways. One of the things that is most surprising here is that M. Night Shyamalan has apparently given up completely, and is happy to simply be sucking fumes off other people's success now. Seriously… this is where he is at this point? Making one of these omnipresent "boy, I wish someone owned a tripod" horror movies built around a single uninteresting plot point? The 75th anniversary celebration of Batman continues. Many lovers of the recent grim takes on Batman first took an interest in the DC Comics character via a much more lighthearted look: the campy 1960′s Batman TV series that starred Adam West and Burt Ward. The infectiously fun comic book adaptation is coming to Blu-ray, and fans of the cowled crusader should be excited by the special features and collectibles that range from new interviews to vintage trading cards.
Batman: The Complete Television Series will be available as a limited edition 13-disc box set Blu-ray release beginning November 11th for $269.97, and it can be pre-ordered now on Amazon for $189.99. The show will also come out on DVD and Digital HD on that day, making its debut on all three formats. Our Battle of the Boy Bands kicks off Monday, and while we imagine you will spend the entirety of your weekend weighing the pros and cons of your fave groups, MTV News reached out to some of the contenders so they could tell you why they deserve your vote.
But before we hear from the Wanted, we wanted to take a look at some hard facts. Hey, this is basically an election, so we need to know where they stand on the issues!
Highest Chart Achievement
While "Glad You Came" peaked at #3 on the Hot 100, they went all the way to #1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart earlier this month.

And the winner for film I most want to see is Gô Shibata's Doman Senman which I hear is incredibly weird. This is the same guy who did the serial killer with cerebral palsy flick Late Bloomer (Osoi Hito).
Other notable films include Merantau, the world premier of Alien vs Ninja, Mutant Girls Squad and Hitoshi Matsumoto's Symbol which I'm also dying to see.
The festival runs from June 25th to July 8th, and you can hit the Nyaff website right here.
Full lineup after the break.

Peter Weir helped to define the rebirth of Australian cinema, while addressing some of the most pressing concerns of the nation in the 1970s and 1980s. His intriguing images of Australia, evocative and transcendent, made an impact in the international art house scene, eager for compelling visions of geo-political areas and cultures overlooked by mainstream cinema. After achieving international recognition as an emblematic Australian filmmaker, Weir made his transition to Hollywood while maintaining a sense of experimentation and artistic exploration . . .[ read more ]
I have to say, Peter Weir's films are so diverse, it's hard to pinpoint exactly his focus as a filmmaker. That is, if he has any intention to focus on certain themes. He has done such an impressive list of movies in many genres - dramatic mystery-thrillers (Picnic at Hanging Rock), comedy-romance (Green Card), action-adventure (Master and Commander...
