We have some of the essentials of a good picture
deickemeyer13 August 2017
Here is first class drama enlivened by a vein of refined comedy. Dr. Charles Blumenthal has furnished Oscar Eagle with a real plot, and Mr. Eagle has used brains and spent money in producing it. Here, therefore, we have some of the essentials of a good picture. Fortifying these is the splendid work of the actors. Winnifred Greenwood has the part of Edna Dusenberry, the daughter of a senator who is anxious to see her married to a corrupt politician, a candidate for mayor. Miss Greenwood gets out of her part all there is in it. To her charm of personality is added the art of the actress. She is finely supported by Charles Clary, T.J. Cummerford, Jack Nelson and a good cast. - The Moving Picture World, March 22, 1913
