Hmm...I just saw it on Movieola a few minutes ago.
I think this is a great short film.
Solid direction, delightful editing, great photography, good acting... I'm not quite sure how to comment on the writing though. The overall story is quite captivating, however, the fact that there are no more than four lines in the film, and that, most of it is told through a P.O.V, render it difficult for me to say much about the writing it self.
The film in it self is both moving and frightening. Told through four different times in a man's life; the P.O.V -or what could be considered the present tense, the immediate flashback before the present tense, and what could be considered, 2 separate conditional tenses -or what might be, or could have been before or after death. The latter two more commonly found in European films, a sort of Kieslowskian ripple if you will.
The end of the film might be considered -by some- slightly tacked on for dramatic effect, but you quickly dismiss the idea because everything else about the film is great.
See it, if you can find it.
note: For all you fellow filmmakers...this a great example of what a simple idea can be made in to.
