No Story

The performances were good. One male lead was particularly good. The cinematography was horrible. I do not buy the explanation that the camera-work was "aesthetic" choices following "Dogma 95" style. (ie., no lighting other than ambient lighting etc.) The sound was good and the soundtrack OK. But the camera-work made me ill. It would go out of focus and there was a need for a tripod or a dolly at times. It was shot on DV but it is a weak example of the quality one can get with mini-dv when lit properly.

But the fatal flaw was it had no story. After the first act, the lack of a script was evident in the structurally flawed movie. I don't know anyone who saw it that recommends it. One word describes it: boring.

Touchy and beautiful...

Beautiful and relaxing places charged with a lot of emotional sense. This story of friendship is as old as the time itself. But the composition of the characters are well-worked, exploring their own times at the movie. The lines of the script were not known by the actors before they played it, so, the dialogs are spontaneous and fresh, having many different colors.

The relation of this two guys is put under pressure by Camila, the main character's girlfriend. The question is, the friendship is harder than the love relationships? Apparently, and old bridge blowed up seems to say NO. AS young as the director is, a good future seems to flash at the end of the tunnel.
