A female cop is got killed during an undercover mission, so Baretta's chief asks him to replace the diseased police officer. Oh no, he won't have to disguise as a female, but impersonating a sort of henchman for a kind of organization whom the chief is a beautiful matron, an organization whose activities are more than illegal, as you can guess, gambling and prostitution. The head office is a beautiful and huge mansion, a hacienda where there is a cabaret and also a secret cave where our lead Baretta hopes to get some clues. He will get help from the technology and all his daring personality to enforce the bad characters of this after all ordinary episode, directed by the head man of the series: producer and director Bernard Kowalski.

The Mansion

The Mansion is a hacienda that offers cabaret with an upper floor that has prostitution and illegal gambling.

Lt Shiller sent a female cop undercover but she was killed.

Now Baretta goes in as some kind of tough guy with a parakeet.

However everyone is under suspicion in The Mansion. A woman there has had a previous run in with Baretta and she might put him in jeopardy.

There is a lot of use made of technology in this story as Baretta needs to crack a safe. It is rather hi tech.

I liked the way how Baretta invited Rooster and his friends to cause trouble. However I have a feeling that the way Rooster was dressed, he would never be allowed in.
