Kip and Henry's 10 yr high school reunion
noosic2 July 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Paying your dues type episode with as many flaws in continuity as there are funny lines. The episode opens with Kip and Henry at their 10 yr high school reunion and the story revolves on guilt feelings Henry has when he lies and turns down a hearing-impaired girl when she invited him to the prom. At the reunion Henry sees the woman again and bolts upstairs with guilt and shame for turning the girl down because at the time, he thought people would make fun of him for going with her. She finds out he lied to her the night of the prom while she is escorted by her father and she sees Henry with another girl. Ten years of guilt had been eating at Henry and the reunion brings it all back. The flashbacks in the 1975 subplots are good especially with Henry teaching an awkward Kip how to disco dance ("Someone is going to want to slow-dance and I'm gonna look like I spotted a quail") but the episode is flawed with the over-reacting Henry and the continuity gaffe that the high school the boys attended was in Shaker Heights Ohio but they were having the reunion in their hotel lobby in New York. Not one of the better efforts by the writers of an otherwise witty show.
