Worse than panicking is getting caught
kevinolzak21 July 2016
Warning: Spoilers
"Ed Brown vs. the IRS" opens with Ed as usual starting off the day with a bottle (Chico: "why do you have to take a little shot so early in the morning?" Ed: "cause I can't find a bigger glass!"). Ed files a letter from the IRS in the usual spot, a trash can, while Chico tries to convince him that most congressmen are decent citizens dedicated to passing new laws: "they have to make new laws, they keep breaking all the old ones!" If Ed winds up doing time, Louie figures that his personality would mean no time off for good behavior! After Chico and Louie collaborate on Ed's negligent tax return and mail it off five months late, Louie picks up the reply direct from Ed's mailbox, this possible felony earning a reprimand from a panicky Chico: "the worst thing you can do is panic!" Louie: "no man, the worst thing you can do is get caught!" The IRS conducts its audit on Ed Brown, Louie bluffing his way as Ed, Chico as his attorney. Incredibly, the agent (Rudy Challenger) replies with an affirmative response to the tune of $740!
