How to handle a boy's female bully
JordanThomasHall26 February 2019
Eddie is embarrassed after being knocked down from a punch by a "smaller" classmate- Joey Kelly. Tom teaches his son to fight back against Joey. At school after another incident Tom finds Joey is a tough little girl (Jodie Foster, "The Silence of the Lambs", "Taxi Driver"). Joey is being solely raised by her father Joe Kelly (David Ketchum, "Get Smart", "Camp Runamuck"), a rough, working man. Although nice, Joe is perturbed to be called away from work to address the situation and before quickly leaving, simply tells Eddie to hit her back next time. Tom invites Joey over to their apartment where she continues to rough Eddie up. Tom tells Mrs. Livingston that she has picked up on things from her father in trying to express to Eddie that she likes him. He hopes that she can be a more womanly influence on Joey.

Strong performances from our regulars and a star in one of her earliest roles. Relatable, as I once found myself in the same situation as Eddie when I was his age. A girl tried to seduce me with her legs- through kicking! I remember it being resolved in the same manner. I wonder if my parents watched this episode? As a man who is excitedly excepting to be a father for the first time there are so many situations, already through eight episodes, that serves as almost a field manual as how to raise a child. I think the world would be a better place if every young parent watched "The Courtship of Eddie's Father".
