A scary reunion
stones789 July 2013
This installment has one story on the sinister side, and the other one is more of the fluffy variety, which revolves around a couple looking for that lost magic they once had. Regarding my favorite of the two stories, named "Reunion", four old friends get together after ten years to relive better times of their lives; look for a familiar face in Michelle Lee(Carol). They get set up in a cool beach house that has an eerie atmosphere, especially at night, as they begin to get stalked by an unknown person in fairly effective scenes that had a few scares, which included an explosion in the shed and a window breaking. I won't spoil the ending or who the masked stalker was, but it has to do with a tragedy that occurred while all the girls were in college. The other story bordered on the routine, although it was carried out well and had some decent acting, including Ronny Cox(Tom), and even the rare appearance by Jim Backus of Gilligan's Island fame, who didn't do much acting after this show. Nothing too dramatic happens here, but look for performances by Lucie Arnaz and Robert Alda also. To conclude, and depending on your taste, I would recommend both stories, but I lean towards the creepier segment, as the late 1970's had some of the scarier shows on television, not just including Fantasy Island. There aren't as many recognizable faces in this episode as compared to several others, but I still enjoyed watching it.

What a bunch of uncharismatic actresses! A very boring episode
imdb-2528820 September 2022
Nothing happens here. Who cares about the fat back woman's marriage to her alcoholic husband!? Who cares about the 4 idiots having a reunion?! Every time F. I. put women (or men for that matter) alone in a house in the middle of nowhere, with thunder and lightening, there ought to have been ghosts, period!

What a missed opportunity. Usually this show gave us a dud and a half-way interesting storyline. There's none here. All the actors phoned it in. No one cares about their problems. And poor Tattoo! Was it written that Roarke was always exasperated at him? Or was that Ricardo's acting choice? A bit humiliating. Once in a while would have been ok, but this happens in every episode. When you watch 2 back to back, it's disturbing. Nevertheless, the little guy didn't seem to mind. But there seems to have been a lot of contempt from Montalban towards Herve. I could be wrong and maybe I'm confusing the role with the actor but it just feels odd.

Anyway, is this the ONLY TV show in the history of television starring two foreigners both with thick accents? I'm shocked that the audiences tuned i because of that! Anyway, skip this one: it's a total dud. 3 or 4 stars for some interesting decor.
