The Curse of The Flying Dutchman
JordanThomasHall16 October 2017
Mrs. Muir (Hope Lange) has been stuck with hosting the PTA meeting, with Captain Gregg (Edward Mulhare) refusing to allow it. The Captain is upset to spot The Sea Vulture offshore, only made visible to him. He explains to her that he was made victim by the ship. The Sea Vulture was off the coast of Holland about 200 years ago with a captain "driven by an obsession to find the fabled lost continent." His crew mutinied and attacked Captain Vanderhoff (a.k.a. "The Flying Dutchman") with knives resulting in the captain disappearing before them. The crew abandoned the cursed ship as it drifted away, appearing in port every seven years where "The Flying Dutchman" exacts revenge for the injustice upon him. When The Sea Vulture is in port, "Vanderhoff's curse renders helpless the ghosts of all men of the sea." Captain Gregg is deprived of many of his powers, which Mrs. Muir takes advantage of to plan her PTA meeting. While at the market, Jonathan (Harlen Carraher) tells Claymore (Charles Nelson Reilly) that The Captain has lost his powers. However, Claymore's antagonisms may not last long.
